How Many Bartenders Do You Need for 100 Guests in Singapore?

The short answer for a Singapore event with 100 guests and a full cocktail menu is two bartenders. Here is the reasoning, and when one is genuinely enough.

The working ratio

A skilled bartender making cocktails to order produces roughly 40 to 60 drinks an hour once the station is set. Beer, wine and simple highballs push that closer to 90 an hour because there is no shaking, straining or garnishing.

Guests drink fastest in the first hour — plan around two to three drinks each — then settle to one or two an hour. For 100 guests, that first hour alone is 200 to 300 drinks, which is why a single bartender creates a queue no matter how fast they work.

Two bartenders for 100 guests with cocktails

Two bartenders working one station clear the arrival rush with a batched welcome drink, then split made-to-order service for the rest of the event. That is the staffing in our Signature Wedding and Large Event package at $680, which covers up to 200 guests over four hours of service.

One bartender is workable for 100 guests only if the menu is beer, wine and two simple highballs, and you accept a wait during peak moments such as speeches ending or a buffet opening.

Things that change the answer

Layout matters as much as headcount. A single bar in a long ballroom slows everyone down; a bar near the main circulation point does not. Free-flow service where staff walk trays adds throughput but needs an extra pair of hands.

Cocktail complexity matters too. A menu of three well-drilled serves is far faster than eight, and it produces a better drink. We usually recommend two signatures, one classic on request and one strong mocktail.

What this costs in Singapore

Our fixed rate for two bartenders with all equipment is $680 for one hour setup and four hours of service, with extensions at $120 an hour. Supplies are separate, and you can supply your own bottles at no extra charge.
