How BYOB works, step by step
Tell us your guest count, event length and the kind of drinks you enjoy. We send back a shopping list — exact bottles, mixers, juice and ice quantities. You buy them. On the day we arrive with all tools and glass logistics and build the menu around what is on your counter.
What to buy for 30 guests
As a rough planning figure, allow around two to three drinks per guest for the first hour and one to two per hour after. A 700ml bottle yields roughly 14 cocktails at a 50ml pour, so 30 guests over three hours typically needs four to six bottles of spirits plus mixers, and around two bags of ice per hour.
BYOB versus full bar service
With BYOB you pay wholesale or duty-free prices and keep whatever is unopened. With full procurement we handle sourcing and delivery for a $150 fee, which is worth it when you are short on time or the list is long. Either way, our bartending rate is identical.
Where BYOB is allowed
Homes, condo function rooms, chalets and private charters are almost always fine. Hotels and some event venues charge corkage or restrict outside alcohol — check your venue contract before you shop, and we can advise on what usually gets approved.
Licensing when you supply the drinks
No liquor licence is required when alcohol is served free of charge to your own private guests. You are not selling drinks, so the event stays a private gathering under Singapore rules. Ticketed events are different — talk to us first.
What we still bring
Shakers, strainers, jiggers, tongs and the full mixology kit, printed menu cards, setup and pack-down, and professional bartenders. Glassware racks, ice, syrups, citrus wheels and a bar table can be added at published rates.
